As an international staff member, you and your spouse have the possibility to participate in free Danish courses at beginner and advanced levels. The courses are organised in collaboration with Lærdansk Aarhus, the largest network of language centres in Denmark.
Through this cooperation you benefit of targeted Danish courses taught by highly educated and experienced teachers. You are provided modern materials to ensure a fast and efficient learning process. Within the first several weeks of studying, you will develop the basis of an active Danish vocabulary. Later on, while unfolding the language, you will gain insight into the Danish culture and local ways, while meeting other international staff members from Aarhus University.
The courses are organised on campus, either at International Center, Høegh-Guldbergs Gade 4 or in Nobelparken, Jens Chr. Skous Vej.
All courses at Lærdansk comply with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The Crash Course is offered at a beginner level only and it is a fast lane into Danish language and culture. It consists of 50 lessons (out of 250) and the classes are held every day for two weeks. At the end of the course, the participants are encouraged to continue in a Full semester course.
