Be aware of frauds

Unfortunately, some AU employees have been subject to fraud via various media channels.

Be aware of fraud

If you are contacted by a public institution or offered technical assistance via mobile numbers or email, it is fake.

Public institutions, regardless of their official business, will never contact you by telephone or via email and ask you to click a link, send a password or reveal other personal information.

Public officials will contact you by e-Boks, which is why it has such strict security.

Also, please be aware that the IT-department at Aarhus University never sends out emails containing links with messages such as “your password will expire”.

If you are in doubt about an email sent form an AU account, you can always call the IT Helpdesk for help at 87150955.
