Opening hours during the summer

Denmark generally slows down during the summer, so please be patient if you have inquiries.

International Centre opening hours

  • The reception Student and Staff Services will be closed for personal appearance during week 29 and 30. In week 30, however, PhD students, researchers and guest researchers can get help from an IAS staff member. Ask at the AU Housing desk.   • AU Housing will be open all summer with regular opening hours. See AU Housing for their opening hours
  • International Academic Staff Services (IAS) will be closed in week 29 (16-22 July) and the International Academic Staff Services mail ( will not be checked during this period

Other public offices will also be reduced in staff or closed

  • The Danish Immigration Service will be open as normal but with less staff
  • The Aarhus Police Foreign Office will be open as normal, but with less staff
  • International Citizen Service West (in Aarhus) will be closed for 3 weeks in July and August (weeks 29, 30, and 31). For further information about the opening hours of the 3 other ICS centres, please contact them directly, or see If you need the services of ICS during the above 3 weeks, you should instead contact the local Citizen Service, the local tax authorities or the Regional State Administration directly. These offices will be open but with less staff
