True to tradition, this year’s UIC Christmas Party was held in Stakladen for the 20th time to an evening full of Christmas fun and plenty to eat and drink.

The packed programme was a 3-hour festivity filled with traditional Danish Christmas food, treats and drinks including the Danish Christmas appetizer ‘æbleskiver’, the Christmas punch ‘gløgg’ followed by a traditional Danish Christmas dinner of meatballs, two kinds of potatoes, red cabbage and ris-a-la-mande for dessert.

Christmas music was playing the whole evening and the children were enjoying making Christmas decorations for the Christmas tree.

We were also entertained by the Danish Christmas game ‘pakkespil’ were all participants had to pinch as many presents from each other as possible before time was running out.

The UIC Christmas Party is a long-standing tradition at the UIC and provides the chance for international staff to take their families along to experience Danish Christmas customs and culture and to mingle with other international and Danish staff.

Thank you to everyone who made the Christmas Party such a lively and special event! We hope to see all of you again for next year’s UIC Christmas Party.
