The Partner Career Coach Programme provides customised career counselling for expat partners. You will be coached during the transition phase and can participate in networking events to support your new life in Denmark.

The programme is offered to the spouses and partners of international researchers relocating to Denmark for a position at AU from the postdoc level.
The Partner Career Coach Programme is organised by the AU Partner Career Coach.
AU Expat Partner Advisor assists accompanying partners to AU staff and tailors a programme to suit their wishes and needs. The advisor especially helps partners to establish a future career in Denmark. The Expat Partner Advisor services are part of the AU Expat Partner Programme.

International Community in Aarhus runs a metoring programme targeted at accompanying partners with a focus on achieving an understanding of the Danish business sector and expansion of professional networks. The mentors are motivated business leaders and the mentees are accompanying partners.
The programme focuses on both the cultural and professional perspectives of working in Denmark.

All new non-Danish citizens above the age of 18 have the option of taking Danish courses to help them settle in Denmark. The courses take place at language centres in the municipality you live.
Aarhus University offers Danish courses in cooperation with Lærdansk and A2B. You have the possibility to sign up for a variety of courses (intensive crash course, semester course and online course).
The offer is targeted at international academic staff and accompanying partners.

The Research Support Office offers assistance to accompanying partners, who wish to seek external funding to continue an academic career in Denmark.
The assistance may consist of an introduction to external research funding in Denmark, the identification of possible councils and foundations as well as assistance in the preparation of applications.

It is according integration legislation possible for accompanying partners to take a position with a wage subsidy from day one in Denmark. An accompanying partner can be offered a wage subsidy scheme or an internship within his/her relevant area.
Whether the accompanying partner wants to udnertake a position with a wage subsidy or an internship, it is required that the applicant first finds, and is hired by an organisation. AU Expat Partner Coach can assist in this process.
